Thursday, June 27
The conference will kick off on June 27 at 5 pm with a keynote address by Brint Milward of The University of Arizona on "Dark Networks: Insurgency as an Ecology of Games." An Opening Reception sponsored by the Center on American Politics follows at 6:30 at the IU Art Museum.
Friday, June 28
Conference proceedings start Friday morning with a complimentary continental breakfast from 8 to 9:00 am. We will also have our traditional mentoring luncheon on Friday from 12:30 to 2:00 pm.
Research panel sessions start at 9:00 am and run until 3:30 pm.
Michael A. McRobbie, President of Indiana University, will officially welcome the conference at 3:50. Following President McRobbie's remarks, there will be a second plenary presentation by Chris McCarty of the University of Florida on "Designing a Network Intervention for Scientific Collaborations." A reception and poster session follows at 5:30 pm.
Saturday, June 29
We have two scheduled sessions for Saturday morning followed by lunch and a plenary talk by Robert Huckfeldt of UC Davis on "Network Science and the Study of Politics". The conference will conclude with an early afternoon business meeting from 2 to 3 pm.
Panels and Posters
The conference will have twenty research panels and a special poster session organized into five thematic sections.
